Group Fitness Classes At Predator Ridge

With 20 co-ed group fitness classes offered per week, the Fitness Centre has something for everyone. Below you will find a list of Fitness Classes & Workshops available at Predator Ridge.

Classes include:  a variety of Yoga practices, Pilates, HIIT, Spin, Body Barre, Stretch & Core, Fitness, Beginner & Technique Swim, Aquafit & more

All classes are led by professional accredited instructors and general last one hour.

Throughout the year, the Fitness Centre also hosts weekly Sunday Yoga Workshops between 2:00pm - 4:00pm.  Workshop topics change and offer a variety of practices including yin, flow, restore and more.  Pre-registration for workshops is required by phone, in-person or by email.  

 

Fitness Classes are available for a fee.  Class prices:

  • BEST DEAL:  One month unlimited classes = $75/person*
  • 10x Punch Pass = $110*
  • Drop-in = $14*

Yoga Sunday Workshop prices:

  • Predator Ridge Homeowner = $25/person*
  • Guest = $30/person*

This class blends light weights & body weight with ballet bar type exercises to tone the body & deep core. Stretching & Facia release is also incorporated.

Led by acclaimed instructor Rhona Parsons, this class is an amazing Pilates-based workout that will fire your core through a fusion of exercises.  Strengthening the body from the inside out, these classes will give you a complete core training program. The rhythmic breathing will help you center, and keep a steady mind, increasing both strength and flexibility throughout your body.  The exercises are designed to train strength, balance,and flexibility for any fitness level.

Guided Group Hike

Every Thursday at 8:30am our Hiking Group meet at The Fitness Centre to explore trails in our backyard as well as throughout the North Okanagan. This is a free group to join & a great way to meet your neighbours!

For any hike that requires driving, we operate on a carpooling basis with each passenger giving $5 to the driver.

Gentle Flow Yoga

This class is designed for beginners and intermediate students.  You will be guided through pranayama (breath work) as well as basic postures, with the option to explore deeper postures depending on your level. Allowing the body and mind to explore each asana comfortably, this is a great class for anyone looking for a gentle experience, a change of pace, or the option to take your practise deeper.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

Burn the maximum amount of calories in a short amount of time with a combination of strength training and cardio bursts.  This class is designed to make you sweat, accelerate your heart rate, and improve your cardiovascular strength.

Outdoor Yoga/Hike/Wine Night

Enjoy a 20 minute hike to one of our outdoor yoga platforms, with a 45-minute yoga class and 20 minute hike back to the Fitness Centre. The evening ends with a glass of wine & snack on the patio.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues of the body through postures that are held in stillness and mindful awareness for several minutes at a time. A perfect complement to more yang styles of exercise (such as flow yoga, running, skiing or biking), Yin Yoga addresses tightness and toxin buildup in the joints and connective tissue through poses that are equally challenging for the mind and body. The result is not only more lubricated and flexible joints, but also a greater sense of balance, peace, and calm. Props make the practice accessible to people of all abilities.

This is an all levels class, appropriate for beginners and those new to yoga.

Stretch & Core Class

Join us for a class focused on functional fitness.  Learn to stretch where you are tight and strengthen where you are weak. This class is designed to strengthen your core and increase range of motion and works every angle of your core – the area between your neck and hips – and lengthens your muscles.

Mainly mat work, this class will improve posture, decrease joint pain and help prevent injury as a strong core and flexible muscles is your foundation to great health.
