We are proud to be the winter base for Kingfisher operations, now in our second year. This unique partnership positions Kingfisher Heli as one of BC's most accessible inclusive heli-ski operations.
Predator Ridge provides the launching pad, accommodations and personalized experience for all Kingfisher skiers and riders as they explore their massive 300,000 acres of Monashee powder, beautiful alpine bowls and some of the best tree skiing on the planet.
As part of this alliance, our Member Services building, Shop and driving range are transformed for the winter into the Kingfisher Heli-base. Breakfast, lunch, après ski and dinner menus are prepared by our talented F&B team.
Starting in November, Kingfisher moves its fleet of 4 helicopters to Predator Ridge to begin their training. Ski tours begin in December.
Helicopters run twice daily between 8:30am and 9:00am for load up and then return between 3:30 and 4:00pm. The flight path is always the same from NE from the resort along the golf course at low level. Helicopters do not fly over any houses or the resort itself. The helicopters will typically warm up for 3-5 minutes on the driving range, followed by about 2-3 minutes of guest loading time. Departure and arrivals will typically be about a minute on each end.
Kingfisher Heli offers a variety of private and semi-private exclusive packages, including the ultimate Kingfisher choose-your-own-adventure package (for $5000 per skier per day) that pairs you and two friends with your own B3E. If you prefer to explore some of BC’s pristine and wild winter spaces with your entire family or posse, the Kingfisher Heli team of experienced guides will take groups of up to 12 skiers or riders (from $3500 per skier per day) on epic adventures. All groups will enjoy the nimble agility of the A Star B3E helicopter and the added safety and service of having a lead and a tail guide with every group.
On top of being the base to one of the best heli-skiing operations in North America, we are excited to add heli-skiing to our vast winter activity offering for our residents. Kingfisher offers exclusive deals to Predator Ridge residents on last minute heli-skiing experiences to fill helicopters.

The Kingfisher Experience
Every day starts as a blank canvas waiting to unfold on Kingfisher's near 300,000-acre powder playground. When you have your own helicopter and guide, you ski or ride what you want, when you want—from epic chutes and perfectly spaced trees to stunning alpine bowls and runs of up to 4,500 vertical. Blanketed in 60 feet of annual snowfall, their unique terrain offers the chance for every powder seeker to have their perfect run—every single time.
TERRAIN: 300,000 acres. 20% alpine | 30% treeline | 50% old-growth tree skiing
LOCATION: Monashee mountains, Whatshan range and Valhalla mountains
SNOW: a mindblowing 60 feet of annual snowfall
HIGHEST DROP-OFF: 9,000 feet.
LONGEST RUN: 4,500 vertical feet
Kingfisher has access to more powder than you ever thought possible - now just shy of 300,000 acres—that’s roughly 32 times the size of North America’s largest ski resort, Whistler Blackcomb. Their terrain is vast and varied, and offers something for everyone, from the casual powder hound to the seasoned shredder. Deep in their tenure you will encounter boundless pillow lines, perfectly spaced old growth cedar forests and wide-open bowls, all framed by the staggering Central Monashees. No matter how you choose to approach it, you will experience uninterrupted thigh-burning vertical with no one else in sight.
Location & Climate
The arid desert climate of the Okanagan to the west and ancient rainforests of the Monashees to the east means you get the best of both worlds. Kingfisher's unique location also accounts for the 60 feet of snow that blankets their operating area, thanks to moisture-laden air from the Pacific Ocean that collides with the drier arctic mass of the Canadian Rockies. Expect temperatures between -5° and -10°C, which results in light and fluffy powder.
