Snowshoeing

Explore our 1,200 acre backyard by snowshoe this winter. Use your own or rent a pair of snowshoes from our Commons Racquet Clubhouse. Afterwards reward yourself with a warm lunch or beverage at Pallino's or Commonage Market.

Snowshoe Predator Ridge

There's so much to do, four seasons a year at Predator Ridge.  One of our favourite things to do in the winter is explore our vast backyard via snowshoe.

Climate

Climate

The winter climate in the Okanagan is one reason why so many of our visitors become residents. Average temperatures in the Okanagan range from 1°C / 34°F to -6°C / 21°F in December and January, the two coldest months of the year.

The Okanagan winters are also famous for Champagne powder; very smooth and dry snow, which is great for snowshoeing. Pair this with our mild temperatures and you've got some great conditions for enjoying a day in nature.

The Terrain

The Terrain

Our backyard offers snowshoeing for every ability. We have lots of flat areas for those that are just getting started and for those that are more advanced, our undulating trails with moderate to high elevation gains offer a challenge for every level of snowshoer.

We have over 12km tracked and signed designated snowshoe trails. Map boxes are placed at a variety trailheads or can be picked up at the Commons Racquet Clubhouse.

Our trails are pet friendly, we just ask you to keep your dogs on leash and to stay off of all areas of the golf course including the fragile tee boxes, greens and fairways.
