Milos Pospisil, Head of Tennis Instruction

Milos has been a high performance tennis coach for 29 years and his depth of knowledge and coaching skill were recognized in earning him the 2007 Tennis Canada "Excellence in Coaching" award.

He has coached numerous top Canadian and European juniors, including his son Vasek and his two other sons Petr and Tom, both nationally ranked players. Vasek was ranked as high as the #25 tennis player in the world, with a Wimbledon Doubles crown under his belt.

Milos ran a high performance training program in Vancouver and spent two years as a traveling coach for one of the highest ranked junior players in the Czech Republic.

Milos' expertise is not limited to elite players.  He ran the popular tennis program for the City of Vernon, teaching beginners the fundamentals through fun and engaging games and drills. 

Joachim Nierfeld, Court Operations Manager

Joachim Nierfeld, Court Operations Manager

Born and raised in Germany, Joachim Nierfeld immigrated to Kelowna, BC in 2000. Joachim is a certified tennis coach with close to 20 years experience, and has served as the head pro at several tennis clubs throughout the world.

Joachim is also an active competitive player who is currently ranked number 1 in Canada in the 45 age group division in Doubles and 31 in the ITF world ranking.

He served on the Tennis BC board for 4 years before moving on to being the Regional Director for Tennis in the Interior. For the past 7 years ‎Joachim has been the tournament chair for the only professional tennis tournament in the interior and hold a chair position for the Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame.

For group lessons, it is recommended that all players register together as a Beginner Group, Intermediate Group or an Advanced Group.  Each level is defined as follows:


This program is designed for players with little or no experience with playing tennis matches. 

The main focus will be on learning and developing the most common tennis strokes ( forehand, backhand topspin, backhand slice, serve, backhand and forehand volleys and overhead smash. Players will be explained the rules, scoring and positioning in singles and doubles play. By the conclusion of the sessions, participants will have a very good understanding of the fundamentals of each stroke and how to play singles and doubles matches. 


These lessons are designed for players with some tennis playing experience who want to improve their skills and knowledge of tennis game.

Players will be working on improving all of the strokes and developing skills to be more consistent and effective in common situations during a match, including baseline rallies, serve and return of serve, approaching the net, and net play. Doubles drills, singles and doubles strategy will be also introduced.


For more experienced players who want to keep improving their game.

In these lessons, we will focus on improving your game with tactics, strategy, mental toughness, fitness, as well as a thorough look at your current stroke arsenal. Your weapons and weakness will get the work needed to reach your highest potential. Match play and point play drills will be run with individual attention.

By playing a live doubles drills players will be also working on doubles strategy.
