Born from the collaboration of world-class resort, Predator Ridge, and Western Canada’s original craft distillery, Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery, the Predator Ridge Bourbon-Style Whisky is a gift to the taste buds with a nod to our Okanagan roots. After being Okanagan grown and field-dried, our northern varietal grain corn is then milled, fermented, and distilled onsite, in a mash bill consisting of 54% Okanagan grain corn and 46% Okanagan malted barley. The whitedog is then carefully aged in our custom, heavily toasted American White Oak casks for 4 – 5 years to develop the characteristics of a world-class bourbon-style whisky. With caramel, vanilla, and jammy plum notes on the nose, and rich layers of honeycomb, winter-spice, and banana exploding on the pallet, this wonderfully smooth whisky delicately rolls over the tongue, with layer upon layer of complex fruity notes, building toward a long memorable finish.

Working with Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery on this collaboration was just as smooth and wonderful as the whisky itself. This family-owned and operated distillery is incredibly talented at crafting world-class spirits made with 100% locally grown fruits and grains. They have a variety of awards for their many spirits including Single Malt, BRBN Bourbon-Style, BC Hopped, BC Rye Whiskies, Gins, Vodkas, Fruit Liqueurs, and Brandies.

In addition to their impeccable skills, Predator Ridge sought to collaborate with Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery because of their local roots. Okanagan Spirits works closely with local farmers and orchardists to ensure that the plantings and base ingredients of their spirits tell the story of the region. They have two locations, flanking Predator Ridge in Kelowna and Vernon, both of which offer tours and tastings. Patrons can taste handcrafted cocktails and attend whisky and gin masterclasses.

This collaboration was a match made in Okanagan heaven and it resulted in one of the most deliciously smooth whiskies you’ll find. The perfect nightcap to toast to yet another wonderful day in the beautiful Okanagan.
