One of the benefits of living or staying at Predator Ridge is the abundance of world-class wineries in our backyard.  If you're looking for scenic wineries, Lake Country is the perfect locale.

Located just 15 minutes from Predator Ridge, Lake Country is home to 5 world-class wineries offering old-world charm, with a mix of art and character.  Lake Country's distinct micro-climate is an ideal growing area for Pinot Noir, Riesling, Icewine as well as many other varietals, and is the home of the Pinot Gris grape in Canada!

From Predator Ridge, travel 20km south on Commonage Road to Lake Country along a beautiful rural route offering some spectacular views of Okanagan Lake and Vernon's Westside.

Lake Country is home to a premier selection of award-winning vintners, many of who provide visitors to their wineries with unique experiences including guided tours and wine tastings.

Join a group tour or plan your own visit along the Predator Ridge to Lake Country wine route:

Stop #1:  50th Parallel Estate

50th Parallel Estate is truly one of Canada's exemplary destination wineries.  The 61-acre estate boasts panoramic lake views and rare granite soils.  Top international wine-making talent have produced the winery's world-renowned Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines!

We recommend trying:  Rosé

Stop #2:  Gray Monk Estate Winery

Over 50 acres of lakeside vines surround Gray Monk's stately winery.  Owners and BC wine pioneers the Heiss family introduced the Pinot Gris grape to Canada and helped create BC's VQA designation.  Savour outstanding wine, food and views at the award-winning Grapevine Restaurant.

We recommend trying: Siegerrebe

Stop #3:  Ex Nihilo Vineyards

Ex Nihilo's steep, 10-acre property is a very special place.  It's not just the landscape's splendour - it is the soil, the climate and the southwestern facing slope overlooking beautiful Okanagan Lake.  Enjoy the tasting bar and art by acclaimed Okanagan artists in Gallery Creatio.

We recommend trying: Pinot Gris

Stop #4:  Arrowleaf Cellars

Arrowleaf Cellars, a family-owned winery, crafts delicious award-winning wines from this grape-laden landscape.  After your tasting, enjoy the great lake views while sharing a picnic lunch with friends or family over a glass of your favourite Arrowleaf wine.  Does it get any better than this?

We recommend trying: Zweigelt

Stop #5: Intrigue Wines

Intrigue Wines, is a boutique award-winning winery that has been making wines since 2009, run by one of Gray Monk's winemakers. Offering a gift shop and picnic area overlooking their vineyards, Intrigue is a small operation making only 1,400 cases in the 2011 vintage and 3,000 cases in 2012.

We recommend trying: Riesling
