Mashie Neighbourhood

PREDATOR RIDGE'S SECOND NEIGHBOURHOOD

Our second neighbourhood, Mashie, began with the construction of the Predator Inn (now known as the Paradise Inn) in 1998.

The Predator Inn was home to the first showhome, the Predator Ridge Real Estate Sales Centre and the Development office until 2003.

In 2002, construction of the rest of Mashie Crescent began with the preparation of 29 bare lots. There were 15 west facing lots backing on to what was the Peregrine #2 fairway and 12 east facing lots for one level rancher style homes.

  • The Patrick – 1,556 sq ft | 2 bedrooms + den
  • The Forrester – 2,385 sq ft | 3 bedrooms

The first showhomes built were the Thomson at 125 Mashie Crescent, followed by the Forrester at 120 Mashie Crescent.

THE TYLER SHOWHOME

In 2004, the Tyler showhome at 108 Mashie opened. The Tyler is a 4 bedroom + den, 4 bathroom, 3,322 sq ft Executive home that was used to showcase what could be built on larger lots within the Falcon Point neighbourhood. The Tyler featured custom elements into the design, including a wine cellar and media room on its lower level.

The popularity of the Tyler floorplan was high and was carried into other Predator Ridge neighbourhoods including Falcon Point and Longspoon Ridge.

In 2006, the very popular Preston showhome was built next to the current Real Estate Sales Centre. This award-winning showhome hosted many events over the years and in 2007 was the winner of Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) National SAM award.

THE REAL ESTATE SALES CENTRE

In April 2003, the Real Estate Sales Centre and Development office moved into its current location at 100 Mashie Crescent.

THE MASHIE CRESCENT TENNIS COURT & PLAYGROUND

In 2003, the first children’s playground and tennis court at Predator Ridge was built on Mashie Crescent. The facility is owned and maintained by Predator Ridge residents through the Predator Ridge Common Lands & Amenity fees (PRCLA). At one point one of the families living on Mashie turned the court into an ice rink one winter!

The Mashie Crescent tennis court is a private tennis court open to Predator Ridge residents only, typically between April and October each year. Bookings for this court can be made through the Predator Ridge Fitness Centre by phoning: (250) 558-3443.
