Relocating To Predator Ridge From England
Predator Ridge was established over 25 years ago and with a strong infrastructure in place, is home to a thriving year-round community. We’ve established a special vibrant community defined by some of the most beautiful geography in the world, brought to life by invigorating activities and the great people who live here.
Here is a real life testimonial from Predator Ridge Resident Kathryn Saunders and her experience with relocating to the Okanagan from England in 2011.
“Having immigrated with my husband and son from England last Summer we moved into our beautiful new home at Predator Ridge on September 1st, 2011.
We had waited patiently for 4 years for our Permanent Residency and we couldn’t have wished for a better start to our new lives in Canada.
We were lucky enough to catch the last couple of months of the beautiful Okanagan summer weather and each morning we would wake up here at Predator Ridge and pinch ourselves – did we really live in this paradise?
We marvelled at the wildlife around us, and frequently welcomed a mother deer and her two babies, who would visit us if only to munch on the occasional shrub in our garden before moving on to more succulent pastures.
Of course the location of Predator Ridge couldn’t be any more beautiful, and when family and friends from back home ask me if we have a big garden I say, “Of course – it’s 1,200 acres! That’s pretty big!”
The golf courses are immaculate in their sculptured beauty, and the staff work night and day to ensure that everything is pristine and running like clockwork.
Once or twice a week my husband and I meander down to ‘Commonage Market’ where we treat ourselves to the wonderful coffee and pastries, or hot soup on a cold Winter’s day. It’s always a pleasure to chat to the friendly staff, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
Since the onset of Winter if anything Predator Ridge has blossomed into something even more beautiful. I find myself constantly taking videos and photos to send home or share on Facebook, and the comments I receive are always the same – “Wow!!!” I’m sure my photos don’t do it justice, you really do have to see it to believe it.
With the benefit of good neighbours and a very strong feeling of community it really has made our transition so much easier. Predator Ridge is our home away from home, and not a day goes by when we don’t appreciate how lucky we are to be part of the Predator Ridge family.”
