Meet Our Security Manager Darrel Wihnon

One of the best parts of Predator Ridge is our team of loyal and dedicated staff that put their all into delivering a world-class experience to our community, members and guests.

One thing you may not know and that we’re most proud of is how many team members we have who have been here for 10 years+. Through our 30th anniversary celebrations, we will showcase and introduce you to a new team member (or two) each week who is in our decade club.

This week we’re featuring Darrel Wihnon, our Security Manager. Darrel joined the Predator Ridge team in 2001!

What’s your favorite Predator Ridge memory?

I have so many memories to list, but I would have to say the rodeo was one of the most memorable as it was so great to see so many of our residents enjoying what Predator Ridge had to offer and how much fun it was to have the Tom Cochrane concert at the end.

What’s your favourite part of working at Predator Ridge?

For me, it would be working with other staff members as a team as well as our guests, seasonal events, homeowners and meeting new people. You never know who you are going to meet at Predator Ridge and what experiences people have had during their life. That is what makes Predator Ridge special where people can come and relax while enjoying our amenities.

What personal accomplishment are you most proud of that you completed at Predator Ridge?

I would have to say the personal accomplishment I am proud of here at Predator Ridge was being able to take the security department and remodeling it to what it is today. Security here at Predator has come a long way and is always getting better that’s where you can stand back and say, I did that.

Fun Fact about me?

So, this is an interesting question I am and can be bit of a prankster and at one time I did want to be a comedian however that never worked out. But I really enjoy comedy and telling jokes as I believe no matter how you feel laughter is a great alternative in making people feel better.
