Amazing Moments Ahead:
Trail Edition
We know how important our trail system is to our residents and what we have now is just the beginning of what we have planned.
We can’t wait to give you a glimpse of what you can expect in the years ahead!
What's Being Planned In Our Trail Strategy
Planning For Growth
With the growth of our community, comes the expansion of our amenities and our trail system is a good example of what's ahead. We are currently building a comprehensive all levels trail strategy with your current & future needs and interests in mind.
Our goal is to get ahead of development, protect our trails and cause minimal disruption along the way. We are committed to delivering a world-class trail experience, that is accessible to all.New Land Acquisition
This fall, we acquired 160 acres of land off our current property border. This new strategic addition features panoramic vistas of Lake Okanagan which will provide us with spectacular expansions to our trail system including new views to hike and bike to.
Stay tuned for the most scenic new trail to come to Predator Ridge yet, which we are planning to launch in 2024.A New Valley Trail
Part of our trail strategy includes building our version of the Valley Trail, the signature 46km iconic trail featured in the community of Whistler.
This wide, gravel multi-use trail will connect our entire property networking our neighborhoods, view points and picnic spots. The goal is to provide accessibility to all and construction is tentatively scheduled for fall 2023.Future Of Mountain Biking At Predator Ridge
In just 5 years, we have created a world-class trail network and destination for mountain biking at Predator Ridge.
What we've built is just the beginning. Some of the biking specific trail plans include:
- More entry level trails
- More single track trails
- A new climb trail & moreThe Basecamp To The Okanagan Rail Trail
Since its inception, our community has been a proud stakeholder of the Okanagan Rail Trail, a 50km trail connecting Vernon to Kelowna along an old CN rail line.
In February 2021, the RDNO with the support of the City of Vernon, approved funding for a 1.3km trail connecting Predator Ridge to the Okanagan Rail Trail. Trail design and permitting is currently underway.
Built By The Best
Planning for our trail system started in 2008 and we immediately enlisted Cam Sorensen, an acclaimed BC trail builder, who also happens to be a Homeowner at Predator Ridge.
