IMPORTANT NOTICES

ICE DAMAGE ON COURSE
With winter here, our golf team would like to stress the importance of staying off all grassed areas on the golf course. We can see ice damage in many ways on a golf course, some can be devastating and are unavoidable.

Most of the damage that we see at Predator Ridge is avoidable. When we have snow on the ground we need to stay off all playing surfaces including the greens, tees, fairways, and rough. Walking on snow covered ground can create an ice layer over top of the grass. This ice layer prevents vital gas exchange that turf needs to survive, and suffocates the turf.

Any ice damage that we get on the course will sacrifice playing conditions. We won't get good recovery in those areas until June, and they will still be weak. Any winter activity can leave an ice layer including walking your dog, hiking, snow shoeing, fat biking, cross country skiing, tobogganing, etc. We usually notice the areas in “short cuts” or the lower valleys on the Ridge course.

We ask that all Winter activities happen in the designated areas around the resort. Please help us educate guests and other residents alike of the potential damage and the importance of staying in our designated winter activity areas.
