We got engaged in June of 2020, right when the pandemic was hitting the world. We knew at that time that we were in absolutely no rush to tie the knot the following year, but one thing we knew for sure was that we wanted our special day to be a destination wedding, and we wanted it to take place at Predator Ridge. Predator Ridge holds a very special place in our hearts. We are both avid golfers, and we both love the mountains.

When we decided we wanted our wedding to be a destination wedding, we knew we wanted it to be far from home (Alberta), but still close enough that it was not a struggle for our elderly guests to get there by plane, and easy enough for us to still be able to drive.

We’d spent many long weekends prior to our wedding at Predator Ridge with close friends and we absolutely loved that Predator Ridge is a one and done location. We loved the fact that we could have our ceremony, reception, and pictures done all at one location. And the fact that all of our guests could stay on the grounds as well was for sure an added bonus.

We were connected with Janine at Predator Ridge shortly after we booked our venue, and we have absolutely nothing but great things to say about Janine and her entire team at Predator Ridge.

We arrived at Predator Ridge on 06.13.23 and the moment we walked through the doors at the lodge, we were treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism. The staff members checking us in made the entire process go as smooth as butter. They helped us find our beautiful Field Glass home that we’d rented, and even helped us ensure all of our resort carts made it there.

The next few days were spent golfing on both the Predator and Ridge courses with close friends, family and our wedding party. Plenty of amazing food and beverages were also consumed at the Range Bar & Grill, as well as the most AMAZING pizza at Pallino’s.

Fast forward to 06.17.23 – our wedding day. Our day could not have gone any better.

We woke up and the weather was absolutely beautiful. The girls and I got ready at my parents place, which was the Field Glass unit right next to ours. These units are absolutely perfect for having the glam squad come in for makeup and hair. Plenty of space to lay out their supplies, and plug-in their tools.

The boys, in the mean time went for their “gentlemen’s” brunch at The Range Lounge + Grill.

Once everybody was ready, around 2pm we did the majority of our wedding party pictures right outside the Field Glass unit homes. These homes made for stunning backdrops for photos, we were even able to get the Ridge’s hole #1 in the backdrop of the majority of our photos.

Our ceremony took place on the patio at the commonage ballroom at 4:30pm.

It did cloud over, but the temperature was perfect, and the cloud coverage made for absolutely stunning photos.

Our ceremony was quick, 12 minutes to be exact – enough time to express our heartfelt love for each other and for all of our close friends and family who were in attendance.

After our ceremony, we took the rest of our family pictures on the lookout space right next to the outdoor patio, and the rest of our bridal party pictures on the 10th tee box of the Predator course. These locations also made for the most epic backdrops of the golf course and resort.

Our cocktail hour, as well as our reception could not have gone any better as well. Our guests are still talking about how AMAZING the food was (if you’re wondering what to choose for food selection, we highly recommend the whispering winds beef tenderloin, I’ve been told by plenty that it was the best tenderloin they’ve ever had). We chose the plated dinner option as we only had 68 guests, and we have nothing but great things to say about the serving staff as well as the bar staff at Predator Ridge. Food came out hot and delicious, and as soon as somebody was done with their plate, it was picked up instantly.

Again, we would not have changed a single thing about our special day at Predator Ridge. I would 100 times recommend their location and team to anybody looking for the best wedding venue.
